God took me on a significant detour last year... But it wasn't just a detour; it was a side quest. A holy mission.

Last night, God showed me something interesting. I saw a whirlpool -- a maelstrom -- with a golden escalator coming up out of it.

Maybe you are on hold and stuck right there in the middle of nowhere... You just don't understand. Like me, you're asking God why.

God was telling Baruch that his pain was carefully measured. That more pain-- more struggles-- were in his future. But there was a limit.

As I write this, I am sitting in the hospital infusion center, waiting for my immunotherapy infusion. They give me Rituximab every other...

God was telling me that he was cooking something up for me-- something good!-- but it wasn't done cooking yet. More time was required...

The big picture is that my mission is the same as that of every other believer- to Love God, and to make him known.

Make peace with God, and with each other. Hug the ones you love, and tell them what they mean to you. Leave no unfinished conversations...

"Why am I here?" It's a loaded question. We want to know our purpose, but deep inside, we are really asking why we are in this situation.

Be on the lookout for fellow smokers-- those plucked from the fire and still smelling of smoke. Offer a helping hand. Or a hug. Or whatever.

Sometimes you do the right thing or are minding your own business even, and you still get asked to leave.

Many of us are walking in treacherous places right now.

Our tendency is to question God's orders; or sometimes, whether we got them from God in the first place!

God doesn't tell us everything. He doesn't show us all the pieces, because HE is putting the puzzle together, not us. He wants us to trust.
