My wife is sick and I have definitely been better, so I imposed on our teenage son to make us chicken soup from scratch. He was skeptical, but dutifully complied. He stewed a chicken with vegetables in the crock pot overnight and deboned it during lunch. I had him put all that nice meat in the fridge while he cooked vegetables for the broth. Then we went back to work. After work, he had a prior commitment, so I finished up, by making noodles and tweaking the broth.

I watched a good movie today. Avatar: the Way of Water. Maybe it's not actually a good movie, but it resonated with me. I love movies, and it think this is the first movie, ever, that touched my heart as a Father...
