"Why am I here?" It's a loaded question. We want to know our purpose, but we are really asking why we are in this situation.

Monday, was memorable. So many blessings. Then came today. Tuesday. I told my customer on Sunday that I expected to be able to work a full day on Monday, but probably only had the physical capacity to work a half day Tuesday. And today, precisely at noon-- at the half day mark-- I crashed. I was eating fast food with my son, and suddenly lost all energy and burst into tears. The whole process, from Good to TOAST, took about 15 seconds. He had to drive me after that...

I was stressing over time passing, and God spoke to my heart, "Do hours and years mean anything to me? Is there ANYTHING I can't do?"

When I was in second grade, I decided to run away from home. I packed my little backpack, and was sitting at the end of the driveway with my Labrador Retriever Bonnie. I was mentally going through my checklist of stuff to bring, when I made the horrifying realization that I'm had forgotten to pack dog food. Moreover, that big dog could eat! The whole backpack wasn't big enough to carry enough food for her. There was no way I could leave her behind, and I couldn't possibly br

They were having an actual PHYSICAL "mountain top experience" with the risen Christ, and STILL, "some held back, not sure about worship...

As I think about it, I had definite plans for Christmas week and the following ones. But everything had to change. I survived the experience, but it was a good lesson to hold things lightly. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Do you love someone? Tell them. Are you estranged from family or friends? Fix it. Do you have a dream vacation to an exotic location in the back of your mind? Book that ticket. Been engaged for years? Just marry the girl already!

At Christmas time, we talk and sing a lot about Mary, but do we ever give much thought to Joseph?
